Quick answer
How do you calculate love percentage by name?
The love calculator turns the letters of both names into a score from 0 to 100%, ignoring capitals, spaces and the order you type them in, so a couple always gets the same love percentage. It’s a game for fun, not a real measure of compatibility.
- 90–100%: a perfect match
- 75–89%: great chemistry
- Below 50%: friendship first, maybe!
How do you use the love calculator?
Enter your name in the first box and your crush’s name in the second. Your love percentage appears straight away, with a short compatibility message. Change a letter and the score updates as you type.
The love calculator cleans both names first: it drops capitals, spaces and anything that isn’t a letter, then puts the two names in alphabetical order. That’s why Rahul + Anjali and anjali + RAHUL both get 86%. The cleaned names then go through a hash function, which turns them into a score from 0 to 100.
What does each love percentage message mean?
Every score comes with a fun message. Scores from 0 to 100 come up about equally often, so a low number is just as common as a high one.
| Love percentage | Message |
|---|---|
| 90–100% | A perfect match. Cupid is taking the day off! |
| 75–89% | Great chemistry. This could be something special. |
| 50–74% | A good match with real potential. Keep talking! |
| 30–49% | A spark is there. Friendship first? |
| 0–29% | Opposites attract… sometimes. Don’t give up! |
For example, Priya + Arjun score 34% and get “A spark is there”, while Meera + Arjun score 97%, a perfect match.
Are the names you enter saved?
No. The calculation runs on your own phone or computer. Nothing you type is stored or sent to Ganakly, so you can try any pair of names privately. The Share button only shares the page link, not the names.
What else can I try with names?
Play the classic FLAMES game, check your name numerology number, or see your kundli match for a more traditional compatibility check.
Frequently asked questions
How does the love calculator work?
It turns the letters of both names into a number from 0 to 100. The order of the names, capital letters and spaces don’t matter, so the same couple always gets the same love percentage.
Is the love calculator accurate?
No. It’s a game for fun, not a real test of compatibility. Real relationships depend on trust, respect and communication.
Can I try my crush’s name?
Yes. Nothing you type is saved or sent anywhere; the calculation happens on your phone or computer.
What is a good love percentage?
In the game, 75% or more is a great match and 90% or more is “perfect”. Just remember it’s for fun!
Can I share my love calculator result?
Yes. “Share the result” opens your phone’s share menu, or copies the page link on a computer. The link doesn’t include the names, but anyone who types the same two names gets the same score.
What does a 0% love score mean?
Nothing serious. Every score from 0 to 100 is about equally likely, so low scores are as common as high ones. Try a nickname and you’ll get a completely different number.
